TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FOR APPLICANTS

Effective Date: June 28, 2024

In consideration of the opportunity to participate in Healing Homes New Zealand's free house cleaning service for cancer patients, I, and my heirs, successors, and assigns, at this moment, agree and represent as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

To be able to qualify for Healing Homes New Zealand free cleaning services, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants or immediate family must be undergoing active cancer treatment.

• Applicants must be able to provide confirmation of diagnosis by a registered doctor.

• Applicants must live in the property that the free cleaning service is provided in. Exception to this is if the applicant is receiving palliative care in hospice.

• Applicants must reside in Canterbury, New Zealand.

Application Process

• Application Form: All applicants are required to fill out the application questions provided on our website. This form includes the necessary information to verify your identity and medical case.

• Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit proof of ongoing cancer treatment, such as a letter from a healthcare provider or a treatment schedule.  This must contain your oncologists name.

• Approval Process: Applications are subject to approval based on the availability of our services. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Service Availability

Applications are subject to approval based on the availability of our service in the Canterbury area only. We only service Canterbury, NZ.

Confidentiality

All information provided by applicants will be kept confidential. This includes all personal and medical information provided on applications and by any other means.  We are committed to protecting your privacy and will not share your information with third parties without your explicit consent.

Volunteers Participation

I understand that volunteers participate in this service of their own free will and are not obligated to provide services, nor do they get paid or reimbursed for their services. If professional cleaning services agree to perform a general clean they agree to pay their employees to perform this service but the cost of the clean is free of charge to the applicant.  I understand that some volunteers are not professional cleaners but they will have received ' in-house' training from Healing Homes New Zealand.

Legal Competence

I am 18 years old or older and legally competent to enter this binding legal contract. I understand that participation in Healing Homes free house cleaning service is strictly voluntary, and I freely choose to participate.

No Warranty

I understand that Healing Homes New Zealand makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the quality of the cleaning services provided by its volunteers.

Release of Liability

I agree to release and covenant not to sue Healing Homes New Zealand, its officers, members, volunteers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account that are caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence, directly or vicariously, of Healing Homes New Zealand, its officers, members, volunteers, employees, agents, successors and assigns.

Insurance Coverage

I understand that Healing Homes New Zealand does not provide me with any insurance coverage, including property, liability, or medical.

Non-Recruitment Agreement

I agree that I will not hire or attempt to recruit employees or volunteers of Healing Homes New Zealand to perform services for me independent of the assigned home cleaning services provided by Healing Homes New Zealand.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

I understand that the laws of New Zealand shall govern any interpretation of this contract without regard to the choice of law conventions of the forum state.

Service Limitation

We are a free service that relies on volunteers and donations.  As such we cannot guarantee a permanent service.  Service is as and when available for house cleaning only.​

General Conditions

• Non-Transferability: The free cleaning service is non-transferable and can only be used by the approved applicant.

• Compliance with Terms: By applying for and using this service, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the termination of services.

By applying for this service provided by Healing Homes New Zealand I have completely read and understood these terms and conditions. I waiver liability voluntarily and of my free will. I agree to be bound by the terms of it.
