• WHAT IS 'HEALING HOMES'?

Healing Homes is a not for profit organisation that provides free home cleaning services for Cancer Patients and their families.  We believe that all Cancer Patients should have access to a clean healthy home whilst in active treatment or recovering from surgery.

• WHO QUALIFIES FOR A FREE CLEANING SERVICE?

Anyone who is recovering from Cancer Surgery, receiving active Cancer Treatment or in Hospice Care.

• HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST ME AND MY FAMILY?

Our services are completely free.  Our volunteers and supporters donate their time and expertise so there is no cost to you.

• WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Currently we are only able to offer our services in the Canterbury, NZ area but we are hoping to make this service nationwide in the future.

• WHY DO YOU ASK SO MANY QUESTIONS WHEN I APPLY?

We do this so we can put a plan in place that better supports you and your family. Being a free service  means unfortunately there are some individuals that take advantage of this meaning that our time isn't spent with those that need us.

• CAN YOU STILL HELP MY FAMILY IF I'M IN A HOSPICE?

Yes, we can discuss this when we have our first in person meeting with you.

• CAN I NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR A FREE HOUSE CLEAN?

Yes but you will need to provide all the required information on the application and have the recipients consent to do so.  We are happy to discuss this with you.

• HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE YOUR SERVICE?

Depending on your needs we can discuss this when we have our first in person meeting with you.

• WHO ARE YOUR VOLUNTEERS?

Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds of all ages and abilities. They willingly give up their time to volunteer with our Service. We are committed to your families safety so all of our volunteers have a Ministry Of Justice and a Police background check. Our Volunteers all receive 'in-house training from 'Healing Homes'.
